We come from operations research and business analysis, not software. We map your system, find what's actually breaking, then build the intelligence that changes it.
Work arrives and something's off. The wrong person picks it up. Urgency gets missed. A client follows up before anyone has acted. The principal ends up involved in something that should never have reached them.
Nobody dropped the ball on purpose. The system never gave them what they needed, at the moment they needed it.
Most AI consultancies respond by bolting on a tool. We respond by mapping the system, finding where it's breaking, quantifying what it costs, and building the intelligence layer on top of something that actually works.
We don't tell you where you could use AI. We show you what your operational system is actually doing, where it's stable, where it's breaking, and where it's costing money nobody has noticed.
This is possible because we come from operational research and business analysis, not software. The starting question is never "where does a tool fit." It is "what does this system do, and why does it produce these outputs."
We don't ask for pain points, pain points are symptoms. We map how work enters, moves through, and exits your firm. Where decisions live. Where work waits. Where the same process produces different outputs.
The problems surface themselves. Usually not where you expected.
Emails, spreadsheets, case exports, billing records, it doesn't need to be clean. We apply SPC thinking to find where performance is out of control, capacity modelling to find the real bottleneck, and efficiency frontier analysis to measure the gap between your average and your best.
Where data is thin, we shift to structured estimation. The method adapts. The rigour does not.
A visual of your operational system, where drag exists, why, and what it costs. Quantified where the data supports it. No jargon. No 40 page report nobody reads.
Interventions ranked by leverage, not by how impressive they sound. Each names the process, the intervention, and the estimated impact. Some won't involve AI at all. That honesty is part of the value.
One clear next step. Not a menu of options. The single highest leverage move available to your firm right now. This is where the engagement begins.
Role Architecture for the roles automation touches, which tasks should leave the human, which must stay, and what your team is freed up to do instead. Automation with a plan for your people, not just your processes.
We don't hand off a prototype and leave. We work alongside your team through every stage, until the new way of working is just how work gets done.
We start with the audit, mapping your actual system before touching a single tool. Where time is being lost. Where risk lives. Where the manual work is hiding. We find what will actually move the needle and ignore the rest.
Once we know what matters, we build fast. No expensive software subscriptions. No custom code your team can't maintain. Automation that fits your existing systems and works exactly as it should from day one.
We work side by side with your team, training, refining, integrating. By the time we step back, it's not a project anymore. It's just your operation.
Tool agnostic. Industry agnostic. We work with what you already have and build around it, no rip and replace, no long term software dependency.
Whole business processes automated end to end. Triggered by form submissions, emails, calendar events, or any other input. Built on tools you already use.
Emails, documents, calls, and data classified and routed automatically by AI. Urgent things surface immediately. Everything else handled in the background.
Inbound calls answered, qualified, and routed 24/7. Structured questions asked every time. Full summary delivered automatically to whoever needs it.
Every critical check, decision, and action logged automatically with timestamps and reference numbers. Proof of process, without any manual effort.
Proposals, reports, letters, and templates generated automatically from your data. Consistent, professional, and produced in seconds rather than hours.
Operational data pulled together and delivered automatically. The numbers your leadership actually needs, without asking for them.
Demand forecasting, capacity modelling, and bottleneck detection grounded in operations research methodology. Know what's coming before it becomes a problem.
If you have a manual process, a repetitive task, or an operational bottleneck, there's almost certainly a build for it. The first conversation is free.
Every conversation about AI in a small firm carries the same quiet fear: is this going to cost people their jobs? Our answer is no, and it is built into how we work. We don't replace your people. We rebuild what they do, lifting the repetitive, low judgement work off their plate so their hours go to the things only a person can do.
We break a role down into the tasks it actually contains, not the job title, the real work that fills the week.
Each task is scored: repetitive and rules based, or human judgement? Only the first kind is a candidate for automation.
What remains is mapped against where each person is genuinely strong, the work they're best at and most engaged by.
The role is rebuilt around higher value work. The repetitive load goes to automation. The person grows into what matters.
Grounded in operations research, not slogans. Role Architecture draws on the assignment problem, the discipline of matching work to the resource best suited to it. It's why our automation always arrives with a plan for your people, delivered as part of every audit.

Coming soonMost AI consultants come in with tools and leave with a prototype. Six months later nothing has changed, because nobody fixed the underlying process first.
We're the other way around. Operations research, business analysis, workforce planning, and forecasting is where we come from. Technology is what we layer on top of a solid foundation.
We diagnose before we prescribe. Every engagement starts with understanding your workflows, not selling you a tool. The audit is designed to find the real problem, not validate a solution we've already decided on.
Our background in operations research means we build systems grounded in how work actually flows, SPC, capacity modelling, forecasting, not just what AI can do on top of a broken process.
We don't push a platform. We work with what you already have. If your data exists somewhere, we can build intelligence around it.
We don't vanish after delivery. We stay through adoption, training your team, refining based on real use, iterating until it runs without us. That's what separates a working system from a shelved project.
Some of what we find won't need AI at all. We'll tell you that. Automation supports process, it doesn't replace thinking. We tell you exactly what it will and won't do before we build a single thing.
I'm Senura, the founder of Ashtara, and the person who will actually do the work. I didn't arrive at AI through software. I came through operations research and business analysis: the discipline of understanding why a system produces the outputs it does. I hold an MSc in Business Analysis and Consulting with Distinction from the University of Strathclyde and a First Class degree in International Business Management, and I learned how real operations behave inside large, complex organisations long before I built my first automation.
What I care about most is the operation in front of me. I have never believed two firms are the same, and I don't build as if they are, I start by understanding what makes yours specific, then design for that, not a template. I'm also drawn, almost compulsively, to what's coming next: the bottleneck, the risk, the capacity problem you can't yet see. Helping firms get ahead of that is the entire reason Ashtara exists.
And when I take something on, I stay with it. I have no interest in handing over a clever prototype and disappearing, what matters to me is that the system still works months later, when I'm no longer in the room. Above all, I believe technology should make people more valuable, not less. That isn't a tagline. It's the principle the whole business is built on.
A structured diagnostic of how your firm actually operates, not how you think it does. We map your workflows, apply analytical lenses from operations research, and deliver three things: a Friction Map showing where you're losing time and money, an Opportunity Stack ranked by leverage, and a single clear Recommendation. Delivered within two weeks. Get in touch to discuss scope and pricing.
If you have repeatable work, recurring volume, and at least one person who can speak honestly about how things actually run, you're ready. You don't need clean data or documented processes. If it exists in spreadsheets, emails, or people's heads, we can work with it. Get in touch and we'll tell you honestly whether we're the right fit.
No. We build around what you already have. We don't push a platform or require you to change your systems. If your data can be accessed or exported, we can build intelligence around it.
The audit delivers within two weeks of receiving access to your data. For project work following the audit, most core automations are built, tested, and running within two to three weeks. We show you working demos before anything goes live.
Most AI implementations fail because they start with the tool, not the process. We fix the workflow first, then build automation on top of something that already works. That sequencing is the difference between a project that gets shelved and one that actually runs. Our background is operations research, not software sales.
Any professional services firm of 5 to 50 people with repeatable workflows worth mapping, law, consulting, advisory, agencies, and similar. The analytical methodology travels across sectors. If you have recurring work, undocumented processes, or operational bottlenecks, we can help.
No, and we'd push back if that were the goal. Our approach is People Forward: AI takes the repetitive work, your people take the valuable work. We use a method called Role Architecture to map which tasks should leave the human and which must stay, so automation gives your team their hours back rather than replacing them. Every audit includes a People Plan that sets this out.
Tell us where your business is losing time or carrying unnecessary risk. We'll tell you exactly what's worth automating, and what isn't. First conversation is always free.
We'll be in touch within 24 hours. In the meantime, follow along on LinkedIn, we're building in public.
